The Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation has signed contracts with three Chinese companies for renewable energy projects.

Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA) said 20 road projects launched in different parts of the nation at a cost of some 5 billion Birr are expected to be finalized during the new Ethiopian year.

The Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA) said that local contractors took part in more than 17 billion Birr worth road construction projects.

Ethiopian Airlines said it would launch new daily flights to Mombasa, Kenya effective 25 October 2009.

Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation (ETC) has launched a GPRS service on its GSM network. Access to GPRS is limited to postpaid mobile subscribers for the time being. The corporation envisages providing similar service to prepaid mobile subscribers in the future.
